The Big Night: Frogs and Salamanders on the Move!

Spotted Salamander

Spotted Salamander

We just heard our first red-winged blackbird and the crocuses are poking their heads up. It won’t be long now before New England’s vast population of salamanders and frogs rouse themselves to head out to the vernal pools where they will mate.

Do you have questions about this annual migration, a true sign of spring in our region?

Lynn Morgan, environmental educator, will answer them for you and offer lots of fascinating facts, during “The Big Night,” 10 a.m., March 26, at The Nature Museum in Grafton. The program is free, and family-friendly, but we do welcome donations for the program and to browse the museum.
