Programs for Kids & Families > Youth
Youth | ages 5-9
Time in nature increases happiness, health, and well-being in kids. Turn off the TV, switch off the laptop, hide the phone, open the door, look up, and get outside with the Nature Museum!
Our programs are educational, hands-on adventures that get your child outdoors, using their mind and body. We encourage confidence and independence in participants by emphasizing self-reliance and growth. Your child will be supported in a safe and fun environment while being inspired to try new things. Our classes, workshops, and camps give kids a chance to get dirty, challenge themselves, and learn about the greater world around them.
Note: If you have registered your child for a drop-off program where you or another caregiver will not remain on the premises, you will need to complete a medical emergency form.

Discovery Days | Ages 5-8, ages 3-4 with guardian
During the summer, Thursdays are Discovery Days at The Nature Museum! Join us for these weekly summer camp programs from June 22nd-August 10th, as we explore the forests, fields, ponds and streams of Grafton. Through engaging hands-on games and explorations, each week we will discover a new aspect of the natural world. This camp is designed to be flexible, to suit your busy summer schedule. You can join us for a one time or become a full-fledged Nature Museum Junior Naturalist and attend every week.
Each program runs from 10am-12pm. Cost is $8 in advance online; $10 on the day of the program.
Register 24 hours in advance and save on the registration fee or just drop in that day if it fits your schedule. This camp has a limited number of spaces for 5-8 year old campers to be dropped off without a caregiver. Please preregister to reserve your 5-8 years space in Discovery Days.
Since this program will be held both indoors and outdoors, please dress appropriate for the day's weather and wear shoes suitable for the trail. Bring a hearty snack and a water bottle. Parents are required to complete a medical emergency form when dropping off their children ages 5-8. We invite 3- and 4-year-olds to attend if accompanied by a parent or guardian. Adults attend for free.
