In northern New England, the winter season transforms the landscape into a true winter wonderland. With all the cold and the snow come fun activities like skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, ice skating, and more! But, why does winter happen? Why are snowflakes sometimes big and other times they’re small? How do snowshoes make it easier for you to walk through the snow? Come find out the answers to some of these questions and learn more about the hows and whys of winter. Try out a pair of snowshoes, bring your own sled to slide down our hill, and construct your own snow fort! Make sure to do a snow dance and join us in celebrating winter!
This preschool club meets inside the museum here in Grafton and explores the outdoors on a variety of adventures to field, forest and pond throughout the 90-minute hands-on program. Children should be dressed for spending some of this time outside.
Drops-ins are welcome! Preregistration is encouraged but is not required. We hope you will join us this Friday!
