“Not All Those Who Wander Are Lost” for the Brave Bears age set (6-9) will be held on Wednesday, February 17th from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the woods and fields around The Nature Museum.

Youth will explore wayfinding without a map and compass as well as studying topographic maps and compass to find locations and plan journeys, a vital skill for humans for thousands of years.

Brave Bears is The Nature Museum’s series of natural science programs geared for 6 to 9 year-olds. "The Bears” will experience an age-appropriate version of our Wild Walker's “Not All Those Who Wander Are Lost” vacation camp held the previous day on February 16th for kids ages 10-14.

The Brave Bears will learn about wayfinding, and orienteering. Campers will follow an outdoor course for a treasure hunt on snowshoes. The Nature Museum loans snowshoes for young participants who do not bring their own. Kids should bring a hearty bagged snack and lunch, a water bottle, and appropriate winter clothing and gear to this winter camp.

Please inquire for multiple day and sibling discounts. If you have any questions, please reach out to our Director of Education, Kimberly at kimberly@nature-museum.org.
