Tracks and Trees with Lynn Levine

Date: February 7, 2015 | 9:30a.m. - 11:30a.m.
Ages: Adults and Children 10+
Cost: $25 per person

Join us at The Nature Museum for a snowshoe animal tracking and tree identification hike and workshop with author, tracking expert, and forester Lynn Levine. We'll meet at The Nature Museum at 186 Townshend Road in Grafton and Lynn will share her collection of scat and fur. Afterwards, we'll carpool for a five minute ride to nearby forested land to search for tracks and practice our winter tree identification skills. An expert tracker and consulting forester for over 36 years, Lynn will introduce her new tracking book, Mammal Tracks and Scat: Life-Size Tracking Guide, and use the tree guide she created for identifying trees in the winter. Participants will learn to think like the animals they track and connect with the forested landscape.

For adults and children over 10. (Children must be accompanied by an adult.) This is a moderate hike with hills. Participants are expected to provide their own snowshoes.
