When we think of fall harvests, we often think of the last fruits and vegetables to be plucked from farm fields, orchards, and gardens. This season of harvest has a long tradition in New England culture. However, fall is also a time of change and bounty in the forests. As many animals, insects, and plants prepare for the arrival of winter, there are natural harvest happenings of all kinds! Come learn about these autumn occurrences in the fields and forests of northern New England. Be ready to look for these fall happenings as we take a hike in the woods, and enjoy some local apple cider!
