Location: The Nature Museum

Imagine a world without computers, cell phones, cars, stores, and houses. It’s a hard world to imagine, right? Here in northern New England, there was a time when none of these things were around! Everything came from what you could find, hunt, and gather from the land. For thousands of years, the indigenous people of the Abenaki tribe have lived in harmony with the land and have gained a deep knowledge and respect for it. Come learn about what life was like before our time and how living closer to the land made people more connected to nature. Investigate Abenaki artifacts, hear the Abenaki story of creation, and go on a scavenger hunt outdoors to test your observation skills in nature.

This preschool club meets inside the museum here in Grafton and explores the outdoors on a variety of adventures to field, forest and pond throughout the 90-minute hands-on program. Children should be dressed for spending some of this time outside.

Drops-ins are welcome! Preregistration is encouraged but is not required. We hope you will join us this Friday!
