Mighty Acorns: Snowshoeing and Winter Animal Adaptations

Date: Thursday, February 16, 2016
Time: 10:00am-11:30am
Ages: 3 to 5 years old + caregiver
Cost: $5 per child, caregiver free
Location: Nature Museum at Grafton

After a short lesson about how animals survive our cold Vermont winters, we will venture outside to explore using snowshoes.  Is that a animal track we see?  Who has been here and where is that animal going?  This is a great program to introduce your Mighty Acorn to snowshoeing with time exploring and tromping through our field.

Snowshoes are required for this program.  A limited number of child and adult sized snowshoes are available.  Call to reserve a pair!

This preschool club meets inside the Museum and explores the outdoors on a variety of adventures to field, forest and pond throughout the 90-minute hands-on program. Children should be dressed for spending some of this time outside.

Drops-ins are welcome! Preregistration is encouraged but is not required.

Can you join us for several Mighty Acorns sessions this winter and spring?
ign up for multiple sessions at one time; it's quick and convenient!
