Vermont Wildlife: Working Landscape Variation 11am - 12pm
Vermont Wildlife with an historic twist! We’ll travel through the history of Vermont with a special look at events that shaped the way we use the land around us. Vermont Museum of Natural History’s live animal ambassadors will serve as example species as we look at how different events in our history changed the land and the species that could live on it. Enjoy a multi-media presentation and plenty of discussion support the animal encounters.
A Native Landscape: People, Plants, & Purpose 2pm - 3pm
Members of The Nature Museum’s staff and board of directors will dig into the big changes happening to the Museum’s Native Pollinator Gardens. These changes will benefit plants, wildlife, and people in ways that can inspire changes at your home or in your community. We’re excited to share the thoughtful and functional design that harmonizes native plants & wildlife, immersive enjoyment by visitors, and functional layout for programs & events.
