Join us at our annual Earth Day Celebration & Open House
Saturday, April 18th from 10am - 4pm
Speakers and Day-Long Nature-Based Activities
Join us for our annual Earth Day Celebration & Open House at The Nature Museum! There will be day-long opportunities for nature-themed exploration, play, and creativity for everyone to enjoy, as well as free programs throughout the day.
During our programs we’ll meet live animal ambassadors with our friends from the Vermont Museum of Natural History, have a chance to view the daytime skies through a solar telescope with the Southern Vermont Astronomy Group (conditions dependent), and learn about the reimagining of our native pollinator gardens and how you can do the same at home.
Guests are welcome to play in the Magic Forest Playscape, wander through the awakening grounds to see the ongoing wetland restoration and pavilion project, have lunch at the picnic tables, or take a hike in the nearby Grafton Village Park. Head indoors to continue learning about what makes our wildlife neighbors and natural landscape worth celebrating with our interactive exhibits on Vermont flora, fauna, and geology.
