Our Director of Education Kimberly Galandak-O'Connor will lead this Thursday's Discovery Days from 10am-12pm. Campers will be learning about three different species of birds--the turkey, the hawk, and the duck. We'll explore their similarities and their differences before setting off on a hike to make use of the museum's brand new binoculars. What feathered friends will we spot? If time allows, we might even tackle a bird collage project.
If you're new to Discovery Days, it's a drop-off program for children ages 5-8; each Thursday we explore a different nature topic, and of course, spend time outside. Children ages 3-4 are welcome to attend with a parent or guardian.
We encourage pre-registration so that we can guarantee each child's space (plus you save $2!). Learn more about Discovery Days on our Youth programming page.
Kimberly will be our Environmental Educator this week.
